Please Turn Over

The task at hand;
To turn to a new page.
To a fresh page, waiting to be inked
With the pen of Destiny.

Turning pages blotted with Time.
An epoch, punctuated with moments that made me.
Moments building up to this moment.
It's time to learn to fly.
Will I soar or will I fall
Is still unknown.
But spread my wings, I will,
Persuing that goal which glows hazily afar.

But it's the interim that excites,
Not the prize.
New places, new faces.
Old lessons, new tests.
The upshot, can be but presumed.
The wait, worth it.

The task at hand;
To turn to a fresh page,
To write a new chapter,
A new beginning.

Yes, indeed.

Hence the rush of emotions formulating the nonsensical thing I've titled "Please Turn Over".

Thanks for visiting. :)

I am guessing that you are on a high. Linseed oil perhaps?

Sriram said...

@merlz@@nitin: lol.. linseed oil? Could be turpentine!

Anonymous said...

its olive pomace oil actually..and the brand's Leonardo! :P

:|

Merlz said...

At Sriram: I considered that possibility. But one uses the oil before the turpentine. Who knows, maybe it's a combination of the two. Or maybe he is telling the truth and it IS Leornado's olive pomace oil. :O

Merlz said...

At Nitin: Dude, seriously? Olive pomace oil? Leonardo's even?

Shoe polish would have been better. :P

Hum....

The style is similar, but I'm noticing a change. Slightly unfamiliar. I like it though.

But, my dear, there is no need for such philosophizing and such. There are the proverbial miles to go and there are people to meet and places to see.

A new sun will rise everyday we live and whether what it sheds light on is new or old, there is still the light. We're always there. In metaphor and actuality. Light will lead to shadows. Think of that when it's hard and turn around to face the sun.

That is my advice to you. All the best M. Keep writing.

Rock on

Tushar, do you know how long I was waiting for your comment? And I was so expecting it to be something like this. :)

Thanks for the advice, T. With friends like you around, everything will be fine; shadow or light. Man, I'm gonna miss you.
